Product Information File
The EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 requires all Cosmetic products placed on the EU market to have a Product Information File (PIF) compiled before the product is placed on the market.
The PIF is a living working document relating to that product. The PIF should be kept by the Responsible Person at the address specified on the label for 10 years after the last batch was put on the market. • Cosmetic Product Safety Report
• Method of Manufacture & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Compliance Statement
• Product Claims
• Animal Testing Statement
• Product sales data
• Customer complaints (health complaints related to product)
• List of all products
• Details of all manufacturing facilities
• Details of which facility manufacturers which product
• CPNP registration Number
• Statement of a product name and use
